Overview
The London Orchestra Festival is in need of a website to promote and attract more viewers to their festival. The owner hopes this will increase tickets sales and festival passes. They want the process of signing up online be engaging, while also being simple and easy to use.
Problem
The site serves two main puroposes: buying tickets and volunteer sign-ups. Based on research found about the users, I developed an experience that is functional, unique, and useful. The three users for this website are music festival enthusiasts, OG fans, and festival volunteers.
Music Festival Enthusiast
user
  • ages 18-25
  • something to do with friends
  • like the genre and groups
  • social interaction
OG Fan
user
  • ages 25-65
  • appreciates history
  • see favorite groups again
  • social interaction
Festival Volunteer
user
  • ages 30+
  • can't afford tickets, but wants to see performers
  • needs money
  • adds another connection
Sitemap
After finding and understanding the users, I created a sitemap that organizes content into four categories: about, lineup, tickets, and volunteer. This allows each user to easily find what they’re looking for.

Prototypes
The following four screens outline how the user will purchase tickets. I used a variety of visual design elements to create an interesting interface. I used heirachy to direct pathways, colors and images to convey feel, and grid to organize content.

select tickets screen
Select tickets: The user can select tickets and review cost.

Outcome
The interface provides the users with easy and useful guide to satisfy their needs. It is simple and easy to use, while also being a valuable tool for reference.
